What's a song without music? Not much, which is precisely the reason the praise team instrumentalists play such a valuable role in worship. Skillfully manipulating a variety of instruments to create a prayerful environment, each musician is responsible for contributing excellence and passion to every service. While an audition is required for placement on the team, the rewards of this ministry are numerous and frequent. Praise team instrumentalists enjoy not only a consistent occasion to do what they love, but also the valuable opportunity to use their gift to the glory of God and facilitate the soulful and genuine worship of His people.
In light of the high visibility of this position, each musician is expected to pursue personal and spiritual development while seeking to constantly sharpen and refine his or her gift. In addition to weekly rehearsals and independent preparation, team members are strongly encouraged to develop their instrument through private instruction. Most importantly, individuals are continually challenged to deepen their spiritual walk and seek Christ before all else.
